So, we are down to 15 days before we move. Time has moved pretty quickly thus far. Erica and I were in Frisco a week or so ago and found a great house. 4 bdrm, 2700 sq ft. Compared to the 1300 sq ft house we live in now, it should be a nice change of pace. Our house now is in total disarray. Erica keeps it pretty livable during all this, so its manageable. Everyday we try to do just a little bit, piece by piece. We are thinking about stopping in New Orleans on the way, but I am comtemplating whether that is a great idea seeing how it is on the top 5 list of the most dangerous cities in America. Good culture for the kids? Or perhaps, "This is New Orleans kids. This is where thousands of people lost their homes. Government and piss poor planning? Yes. Ingnorance for building a city BELOW the water table? Yes." Or perhaps we can take them to Bourbon St. to have a beer. We shall see.
Bourbon street and beads! Have them get a nice set of beads! I think you will be fine as long as you hang out during the day.

ReplyDeleteOn another note...if you want to make that drive from New Orleans to TX a bit easier...yes...the beer will help keep them quiet for a while. HA HA HA! Effective Parenting 101!

ReplyDeleteMike you should definitely stop in New Orleans. I used to love our drives through Louisiana when I was little and we usually stayed in Baton Rouge.

Nah, go through the upper part of Lousiana and there's a safari zoo on the way, I stopped by there when I drove it was pretty cool and the kids will enjoy it!
